Town of  Holly Springs issued the following announcement on March 1.

The Town of Holly Springs welcomes new Finance Director Tina Stroupe to the team! She comes from Siler City, where she has served as Finance Director for the last three years. Prior to that job, Stroupe was the Accounting and Finance Manager in Holly Springs, and she couldn’t be more thrilled to be back with the Town at such an exciting time.

“As someone who specializes in government finance, the opportunity to lead such an important department at such a pivotal moment in the Town’s growth is invigorating,” said Stroupe. “We deal directly with residents on a daily basis when it comes to utilities, but we are also involved in making sure the Town can fund all of the many projects that are underway, in addition to the operational expenses required to keep things moving smoothly.”

Stroupe says the Town’s excellent credit rating and strong financial health makes her job easier.

“We have the capability to do more with our money because we can borrow at competitive rates, which helps maintain the quality of life for our residents,” said Stroupe.

Stroupe says the finance department has been leveraging technology so residents can have better access to resources. Today, Holly Springs residents can manage their utilities completely online and even track their water usage through the Town’s WaterSmart portal. One of her goals is to reduce manual processes to make the Town’s financial system even more efficient.

“I have to say that it is the people in this Town who make it such a wonderful place,” said Stroupe. “From the residents to the staff, when I came back it was almost like I never left. This is my work family, this feels like home.”
