Town of Apex issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.
Turn your Christmas tree into a park trail with Wake County's Christmas tree recycling program!
Drop your undecorated Christmas tree off at two designated locations* near Apex from Dec 26th - Jan 22nd to turn them into mulch for Wake county park trails.
(If you can't make it out to the dropoff, just put your tree curbside to be collected on your regular yard waste day.)
*Location 1:Wake County Convenience Site (6120 Old Smithfield Road)
*Location 2:Harris Lake Park (2112 County Park Drive, New Hill)
